September 14th—London

I'm a bit worried today. For supper I had two small pork pies, baked beans and a can of lager. Am I turning into an Englishman? Is there a support group for this kind of thing?
To ease the stress of the flat tire and prepare myself for the drive to London, I took a short side trip and spent a couple of hours in Ely cathedral, one for the great ones I had so far missed. Magnificent place and restful in the early morning before the crowds, even for an atheist. I ended up cursing Henry VIII for destroying most of the incredible glass.
Back in student residence now (Imperial College), which is a bit weird, but the neighbourhood is cool. A day talking Franklin tomorrow and beer in the pub at Greenhithe where he and Jane spent the night before he sailed.
