September 8th Dartmoor

Adder on Dartmoor.

A day on the famous moor, climbing Tors, pottering around bronze age settlements and looking at deserted medieval plague villages. A near perfect day for an ex-geologist/historian/author was completed by a fish supper and beer.

Of to Portsmouth tomorrow for the beginning of research into things nautical—oh and the tank museum on the way.
